(ksut) - HOST LEAD: Durango's latest piece of public art is complete, and is being (was) dedicated today.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: The Trout Wall Mural is a tile and mosaic piece that spans a 50-foot plus section of wall along the Animas River Trail, behind Signature Salon, south of the Main Avenue bridge.
The 25-thousand dollar project was awarded in the Spring by the Durango Public Art Commission, to The Arts Collaborative.
That's a group of local artists, who held a series of workshops with youth, teaching the techniques of mosaic tile works and steel fabrication as part of the art work.
The owners of the Signature Salon donated the wall as the art piece's canvas.
You can see a picture of the mural, if you haven't seen it in person yet, by going to our website at ksut.org and clicking on this story under regional news.
From KSUT, I'm Victor Locke.
