Rattlesnake Fire Now 70% Contained
(2007-07-05)
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: Progress is reported in containing a wildfire burning west of Navajo Reservoir.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: Cooler, more humid weather is helping firefighters get a handle on the Rattlesnake fire, that's burned across 300 acres west of the Navajo Reservoir in San Juan County New Mexico.
State Forestry Spokesman Dan Ware says the fires is now considered 70-percent contained.
Crews are continuing to construct lines around the blaze and hit hot spots.
There have been no evacuations or no buildings affected by the human caused fire, but a dozen gas wells in the area were shut down.
The fire did not impact Navajo Reservoir or the recreation area.
From KSUT, I'm Victor Locke.
