Mercy Marks Anniversaries
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.
VICTOR: One year ago this past Wednesday, Mercy relocated from Park Avenue just north of downtown, to it's new 82-million dollar facility in Grandview.
Tomorrow marks the hospitals 125th anniversary serving the community.
And it will be marked with a series of events from 10am until 3pm at the hospital's main entrance.
There will be music, food, children's games and more.
The highlight though, could be the opening of a time capsule at 12 noon.
The capsule was sealed in 1952 during dedication of a new patient wing at the Park Avenue site, and was discovered, and recovered shortly before demolition of the old hospital began last fall.
A new time capsule is expected to be placed at the new hospital later this fall.
