Rally Trial Underway
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: Testimony is underway in the trial of the first of several lawsuits stemming from the failed 2006 Rally in the Rockies motorcycle event.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: Southern Ute Tribal Court Judge Suzanne Carlson began hearing testimony this morning in the tribe's suit against Rally in Rockies, Inc.
The tribe charges the corporation and owner Dan Bradshaw breached the third year of a three year contract to hold the 2006 Rally at the Sky Ute Event Center.
The suit seeks 110-thousand dollars in rental payments plus damages.
In opening statements, Bradshaw's attorney, Bill Zimsky charged the tribe was first to break the agreement by dictating Bradshaw could not be involved in the Rally's planning.
Tribal Attorney Sam Maynes charged a breach of trust by Bradshaw resulted in a change of relationships which didn't change Rally in the Rockies contractual obligations.
Testimony's expected to continue through Tuesday, sometime after which Judge Carlson would rule.
Several other lawsuits over efforts to relocate the rally to Echo Basin are also pending.
