Stop Gap Durango Health Clinic Opens
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: Mercy Regional Medical Center opened a new Health Services Clinic today, one month after the pull out of Valley Wide Health Services.
KSUT's Victor Locke has more.

VICTOR: The Health Services Clinic, as it will be known is located in the former Valley Wide offices at 1800 Third Avenue, Suite 109.
Designed as a stop gap clinic, it will offer limited medical services, such as medication management, care for minor illnesses, preventive care checkups and monitoring of chronic medical conditions.
It will not provide comprehensive primary or emergency, pediatric, obstetric, or gynecological care, do medical procedures, offer immunizations or provide physicals.
The clinic will operate 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, closed from noon to one for lunch.
It's received one year of funding from the city and county and in kind donations from Mercy, while a consultant looks into ways to address a primary health care shortage in the community, caused in part by Valley Wide's departure.
From KSUT, I'm Victor Locke.
