Phone Call Snarls Durango Air Travel
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: A telephone call about possibly harmful cargo arriving on a flight into Durango disrupted local air travel today.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: At least two inbound flights to Durango La Plata County Airport were cancelled today, after a caller warned early this morning of a big, heavy piece of cargo that could be harmful.
According to Assistant City Manager Greg Caton, La Plata Sheriff's investigators located the man who placed the call.
He apparently told them he was passing along something he overheard.
After determining the threat could be credible, security at the airport was increased.
Inbound planes have been searched carefully throughout the day but nothing suspicious has been found.
Sheriff's, FBI, and Transporation Security Administration investigators are still trying to track down the original source of the comment.
The airport, which was never closed, is expected to remain under heightened security through the balance of the afternoon.
I'm Victor Locke, for KSUT.
