United Way Breaks Record, again!
(2007-02-26)
(ksut) - HOST LEAD: Funding has been secured for 77 programs in 5 Southwest Colorado Counties funded by the United Way.
KSUT's Victor Locke reports.

VICTOR: For the third year in a row, United Way of Southwest Colorado has broken a record and raised the most in its 34 year history.
The 2006 campaign has just ended, with 665-thousand dollars pledged, well over the campaign goal of 633-thousand dollars.
United way President and CEO Tim Walsworth says the success of this years drive will allow full funding for 77 programs, designed to help people in need.
The programs are operated by 54 agencies serving La Plata, Montezuma, Archuleta, Dolores and San Juan Counties.
They provide services to families, seniors and youth, education and job readiness, crisis intervention and affordable housing.
Walsworth estimates more than 200 area businesses supported the campaign.
I'm Victor Locke, for KSUT.
