Screen writer and famed script doctor Carroll Cartwright discusses his life in film. Known for his work in Jumanji, Pearl Harbor, and Where the Money Is, Paul Newman’s last film, Cartwright personally introduces a screening of his latest release, What Maisie Knew (2012). A radical update of Henry James’s classic novel, this luminous film reveals the world through Maisie’s eyes as her parents’ marriage dissolves and features an extraordinary performance by 6-year-old Onata Aprile as Maisie. Directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, it also stars Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgård and Steve Coogan. A reception and Q&A follow the screening.
