County to Survey Historical Sites
The job is being made possible with a 94-thousand dollar grant from the Colorado Historical Fund and 32-thousand dollars from the county itself.
The project seeks to focus on the 4-thousand buildings that have been identified through the County Assessor's office as being over 50-years old.
Railroad beds historic trails and roads culturally scarred trees are just some of the non-building items that will be surveyed.
The County also hopes to document sites or structures that are threatened by neglect or development.
