Truck Hits Vacant Theater, Child Hurt
The accident happened around 11am Thursday.
Farmington Police say the girl was wearing a seat belt but should have been in a car seat.
Authorities say the truck she was in was being driven by her Aunt 40-year old Sharon Smith who may have suffered a medical problem and hit the gas instead of the brake.
The vehicle was heading eastbound on Broadway and crossed the cement median then hit a telephone pole before crashing through the wall of the theater on the north side of Broadway.
Police say the vehicle was one-third of the way into the building.
Two other children ages 8 and 13 were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident they were wearing seat belts.
Farmington Police are still investigating the accident.

A 4-year old girl has been sent to an Albuquerque Hospital after the truck she was in crashed through a wall at the old Cameo Theater in downtown Farmington.The accident happened around 11am Thursday.
