2 Die in Head On Crash LAPLATA, NM (ksje) - Two people were killed in an early morning crash Tuesday morning on the LaPlata Highway in San Juan County..
The San Juan County sheriff's department says 23-year old Justin Gustina's truck swerved into the oncoming lane around 5:15 yesterday morning..
Another driver Gregory Graves avoided the head-on crash by swerving to the right and was sideswiped by Gustina's vehicle..
The driver following Graves wasn't as lucky
43-year old Frederick Ricker of LaPlata was hit head on by Gustina's truck.
Ricker died at the scene
Authorities say Justin Gustina died after being flown to San Juan Regional Medical Center.
Gregory Graves escaped the crash with only cuts from broken glass.
Investigators say alcohol was not involved in the crash but they are still investigating.
