Dry Conditions Spark Fire Bans DURANGO, CO (ksje) - LaPlata County is worried about wildfires. The board of County Commissioners passed a complete ban on open burning, that means no campfires or agricultural burning

Charcoal grill fires, or gas grills and fires in designated campground pits with protective grates are not included in this fire ban.

Public Fireworks displays scheduled for Durango and Bayfield will still be held as scheduled but no other fireworks are allowed.
