Desert Rock Hearings Set
(2007-06-18)
(ksje) - Public Hearings on the draft environmental impact statement for the proposed Desert Rock power plant have been announced.
10-hearings will be held in various locations beginning mid-July.
Farmington's hearing will be at 5pm on Tuesday July 17th at the Farmington Civic Center.
A hearing will be held the next morning in Cortez at 10.
And in Durango at 5pm on July 18th.
Other hearing locations that follow include Shiprock Nenanezhad Burnham.. Sanostee.. Window Rock . Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
The Desert Rock power plant is a coal fired plant that developers would like to build near Burnham New Mexico.
