Breaking News: Teen Drowns at Farmington Lake FARMINGTON, NM (ksje) - A 19-year old drowned Sunday afternoon at Farmington Lake.
Farmington Police have identified the victim as Skyler Steed. They say he was in a raft with two other teens Sunday when they were about 50-feet from shore, Steed jumped in the water and began swimming toward land. Police say after a few moments Steed began struggling in the water and called for help. The others in the raft, and some fishermen in a nearby boat went to help, but the young man disappeared beneath the surface.
State Police divers recovered the young man's body Sunday night. An autopsy has been scheduled. © Copyright 2012, ksje
