Artist Remembers DWI Victims with Portraits AZTEC, NM (ksje) - A local artist is trying to raise awareness to the problem of drinking and driving.
Nikki Smith has begun Artists Against Drunk Driving and her goal is to paint portraits of the people killed by drunk drivers
Those paintings are displayed at various events throughout the Four Corners
Smith says families allow her to paint the portrait and display it for one year after that the painting will be presented to the family.
A permanent image will be preserved on the artists against drunk driving website.
