College to Provide School Bus Driver Training
Nearly 400 bus drivers are expected to attend the annual institute . which certifies drivers in safety training.
The institute is sponsored by San Juan College's School of Continuing Education and Community Development.
Bus drivers from more than a dozen area school systems including Farmington, Aztec, Bloomfield, Central Consolidated, Navajo Prep, and Bureau of Indian Affairs schools will be on campus attending classroom sessions and practicing driving skills.
Workshop topics include accident investigation.. American Sign Language for students with disabilities, crisis prevention and intervention and first aid/CPR.

School bus drivers from across the area will convene at San Juan College for the Eighth Annual Northwest New Mexico Bus Institute next Wednesday and Thursday, July 18 & 19. Nearly 400 bus drivers are expected to attend the annual institute . which certifies drivers in safety training.
