Record drought in New Mexico (Listen again)
(2011-03-18)
(KSFR) -
With most activity winding down in the Roundhouse, we turn to what could be the most important New Mexico story. The weather. In fact, the dry conditions in some parts of the state are the worst on record. Spring arrives Sunday, and a summation of winter here in New Mexico can be served up with one word - dry. The dearth of moisture is due mostly to the influence of La Nina over equatorial Pacific waters.
