Charter high school opens at Santa Fe Community College (Listen again)
(2010-08-19)
(KSFR) -
More than a hundred Santa Fe teens are getting a two-for-one -- a high school diploma and the first two years of a college degree at the same time.

They've enrolled in the Masters School, a brand new charter high school opening up Aug. 23. The only difference between this charter school and others is that this one is on the campus of the Santa Fe Community College.

The founder, John Bishop, explains that the program will allow students to finish up to three years of high school while at the same time getting two years of a college degree. And it's all paid for by the state.

Listen.
