State senator wants regulators to act differently on health insurance rates (Podcast)
(KSFR) -
-- Fallout from the recent rate hike awarded Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico by the state insurance commission may not be over yet.

The most recent development was the resignation of the state insurance superintendent, just days after his office allowed back-to-back rate increases with the effect of having tens of thousands of policy holders paying out premium that are 50 percent higher than just two years ago.

Now, State Sen. Dede Feldman of Albuquerque says she would like to see some changes made to state law in how the insurance division operates when it comes to health insurance rates.
