New Mexico may market itself to Sonora, Mexico (Podcast)
(2010-04-28)
(KSFR) -
-- Immigrant-rights activists say they'll join labor and Catholic church leaders in Las Cruces Friday to talk about next steps in the wake of the new immigration law in Arizona.

Santa Fe-based Somos un Pueblo Unido says they'll also hold a protest march in Santa Fe Saturday afternoon at 1:30. That will be across from the DeVargas Center.

Meanwhile, state officials are talking about extending a welcome to people from Mexico. Richard Eads is the tourism department's director of marketing. He says New Mexico has a good relationship with the Mexican state of Sonora.
