Albuquerque lawyer wins in court but detainee remains in Guantanamo (Podcast)
(2010-04-16)
(KSFR) -
-- A lawyer from Albuquerque has been part of a group of volunteer attorneys giving their time and experience to providing legal counsel to some of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay.

Nancy Hollander has been the subject of some criticism from right-wing extremists who label her something of a traitor for defending people suspected, but not convicted, of terrorism. She, of course, defends her own role as one of the precious rights of anyone brought up on charges by the United States. It turns out now that one of her clients has been ordered released by a U.S. judge who found that the military had no evidence to keep holding the man. But he's not out yet.

Nancy Hollendar joins us.
