Wrong-way DWI crashes in New Mexico (Podcast)
(2010-03-29)
(KSFR) -
-- The most recent wrong way crash on an interstate has taken the lives of an 18 year old Las Vegas girl in one car and the 28 year old driver of the other car. He's suspected of having been drunk behind the wheel. The Office of the Medical Investigator will determine whether alcohol did in fact play a role.

That crash came just days before the OMI released a detailed study of auto fatalities in New Mexico, and it's not a pretty picture. We talked with pathologist Sarah Lathrop who is the lead author of that report published in the Journal of Forensic Sciences about what they found.
Deaf captioning.
