Fastest computer has entry point in Santa Fe (Podcast)

(KSFR) -
State officials call it the fastest computer in the world with public access. And it's now officially online, even though it's not quite ready for full public access just yet.

The unit is housed at Intel Corporation in Rio Rancho and it's designed for colleges and businesses that need fast computer performance for design and modeling.

One of the public entry points is Santa Fe Community College, where Al Reed is head of business and applied strategies. He says even though the computer can render perfect 3-D animation, it will be able to do much more for higher education. Listen
