Techton Energy development
(2008-02-20)
(KSFR) - -- From the At Noon midday news report on KSFR 10.1 FM:

Bill Dupuy, host: "It may or may not be a meaningful development in the ongoing question of Techton Energy drilling for oil and gas in the Galisteo Basin. But it is a new development and worth noting for that reason. Techton Energy of Houston has filed routine paperwork with the state, saying it is temporarily abandoning a well in the Galisteo Basin.

"The paperwork says the company wants to prepare to electrify it because it now runs on propane gas. But the source of that electricity is a mystery, so far. The local electrical coop says they haven't been contacted about supplying that needed electricity.

"The paperwork also says that Techton plans to drill another hole from that same well pad. The Oil Conservation Division confirms that the company made that statement. But they also say there has been no approval to drill that well."
