City Official: "Disregard parking meters assigned to legislators after 6 p.m."
(2007-02-02)
(KSFR) - -- City parking meters are available for free public parking after 6 p.m., even though they may have locked bags on them designating them as reserved for use by the state legislature.

City Parking Division Director Bill Hon told KSFR the bags are locked, making it difficult for city crews to remove each evening. But drivers can disregard them after 6 p.m. He also says any parking meter sign requiring payment after 6 p.m. is a mistake.

He says drivers can park for free at any meter in the city, whether or not bagged for the legislature, after 6 p.m. without fear of getting a citation.
