Impact of Immigration on the Economy LAS CRUCES, NM (krwg) - Immigration has been a contentious issue this election season especially in western states like Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico which have a high percentage of Hispanics. Presumptive presidential nominees Barak Obama and John McCain, both say they support comprehensive immigration reform that includes border security and a path towards citizenship.
