Husband and wife team Karl and Toni Laumbach will present a program on The Cañada Alamosa Project and Museum Exhibition at the February Dona Ana Historical Society Meeting. Since 1999 archaeologists and historians have been unlocking the secrets of the Rio Alamosa, a spectacular drainage northwest of Truth or Consequences. The stream is fueled by the Ojo Caliente, the spring that gave the Warm Springs Apache their name. Karl and Toni will outline what has been learned and discuss details of the exhibit “Cañada Alamosa Project: 4000 Years of Agricultural History” now open at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. The presentation is free and open to the public.
