Hueco Rock Rodeo is a three day climbing festival in El Paso's Hueco Tanks. The Rock Rodeo is one of the longest running outdoor climbing festivals/competitions and includes our 3rd annual youth comp in Hueco Tanks State Historic Site Feb 14th-16th. The festivities are at the Hueco Rock Ranch and the climbing is in Hueco Tanks.
The long weekend will start at the Hueco Rock Ranch Friday with slide shows by local Sam Davis and professional climber visiting from the UK Mina Leslie-Wujastyk. That same night Dave Graham will be premiering the movie Island 2!
Saturday morning breakfast is served early at the Hueco Rock Ranch and then the climbers are shuttled off to Hueco Tanks for a fun day of climbing. The festivities Saturday night are back at the Ranch and will include our 3rd Annual Art Show our and our 3rd Annual Dyno Comp, vendor village, DJ and bonfire! Included with registration is camping all three nights at the AAC’s Hueco Rock Ranch, dinner three nights, breakfast two mornings, Fat Tire beer and free yoga classes will be offered throughout the weekend. The El Paso Food Truck Circus will be feeding the competitors, volunteers and partygoers Friday and Saturday nights!
All levels of climbers are welcome from beginners to pros!
The proceeds are donated to Hueco Tanks State Historic Park, the local climbers coalition the Climbers of Hueco Tanks Coalition, CHTC and the El Paso Youth outreach program Ciudad Nueva.
