(krcl) - From pranks to politics -- Anonymous has emerged as a cyber trickster intent to combat censorship and the Internet. Their targets have ranged from Scientology to most recently the National Defense Authorization Act. Their most recent action hit home. A group claiming to be Anonymous hacked and shut down the SLCPD website to protest Sen. Karen Mayne's anti-graffiti bill SB 107. Sen. Mayne joins us briefly to share her response to the hacking. Also Saki Knafo from the Huffington Post joins us to discuss his two part series "Anonymous and the War Over the Internet". In the last segment we welcome journalist Timothy Lee from arstechnica.com. We discuss ACTA - the Anti-Piracy Trade Agreement. He agrees with Anonymous that ACTA is a bad agreement but takes issue with inaccurate information being disseminated online. www.arstechnica.com, www.huffingtonpost.com © Copyright 2012, krcl
