Most people have opinions about Karl Marx, but few know much about his life or have ready any of his work. Nick welcomes Mary Gabriel, author of the new biography Love and Capital: Karl and Jenny Marx and the Birth of a Revolution. We discuss the history of a family that would change the direction of the world. Later in the show we are joined by economics professor Al Campbell to discuss Marx's theories and the (mis) application of Marxist ideology by Stalin and Mao.
