Last weekend the SLCPD arrested 19 Salt Lake City Occupiers for refusing the vacate Pioneer Park. This action corresponded with several altercations around the country between police and the growing Occupy movement. Meanwhile, no arrests have been made for the bankers who created the mass foreclosures, the lost jobs and the global economic crisis. Many Occupiers are questioning Mayor Becker's rationale in shutting down their encampment with a use of force. Do we have a two-tiered system of justice that only enforces sanctions on the poor but not the rich? We're joined by David Everett, Mayor Becker's chief-of-staff, Joe Cohn, the interim legal director of the ACLU of Utah and homeless advocate John Netto to debate the merits and motivations of the crack-down.
