Can Mormons be environmentalists? The traditional environmentalist is associated with leftist politics. Mormons are most notably affiliated with right wing politics. Can Mormons then embrace a green faith? BYU professor George Handley argues that there is indeed a place for environmental stewardship with Mormon theology and he and others are leading the way. We're joined by Handley as well as eco-Mormon housewife Rachel Mabey Whipple, Green Mormon architect Jonathan Kland and LDS Earth Stewardship organizer Peter Ashcroft. We'll discuss the emergence of a new green LDS movement as well as efforts from by the LDS Church to build green buildings. www.greenmormonarchitect.org.
