SALT LAKE CITY, UT (krcl) - "In 1838, the governor of Missouri ordered tha Mormons be exterminated or driven from the state. They fled, first to Illinois, then to Mexico, becoming the first illegal immigrants in the Salt Lake Valley. Now their descendents in the Utah Legislature debate a similar law."

So reads the artist's statement of the new gallery show, Driven from the State: an Exhibit of Art and Ideas that runs January 5 through the 14th at the Art Access Gallery in Salt Lake City. Nick welcomes Jimmy Lucero, Alexander Ramos and Chad Nielsen to share alternative perspectives on the immigration debate.
