In Utah Magazine's, Kelly Ashkettle talks about a Hamburg based duo's, VNV Nation, visit to Salt Lake City this Friday.Insight with Kelly can be heard every Thursday at 8am and 1pm on KRCL 90.9FM.Salt Lake City, UTVNV Nation are an electronic duo based in Hamburg, Germany who formed in 1995. Their name stands for "Victory, Not Vengeance," which represents the band's message of positivity in the midst of negative circumstances. Their seventh studio album, "Of Faith, Power and Glory," was released in the U.S. on June 23. They're known for highly visual live performances featuring elaborate visual projections and lights which emphasize the frenetic electronic drumming of Mark Jackson and the impassioned vocals of their frontman, Ronan Harris. The Irish-born Harris called me from a California hotel room last week shortly after arriving in the U.S. for the band's current tour.
