INsight with Kelly Ashkettle, October 22
INsight with Kelly Ashkettle, October 22 Kelly is heard on KRCL every Thursday at 8am and 1pm.
Kelly Ashkettle, Staff Writer for IN Magazine, interviews Victoriandustrial musician, Emilie Autumn. Emilie Autumn could be the patron saint of damaged fairies.

In the cover photo of her 2003 album, "Enchant," she appears with wings on her back and long pink hair decorated with a butterfly. The songs are filled with delicate harpsichord melodies about castles and fairy tale characters.

Three years later, after being hospitalized for manic depression, she released the album "Opheliac." She still has pink hair, but it's an angrier hue of fuchsia, and her eyes are rimmed with black. The songs, which she refers to as "Victoriandustrial," have titles like "The Art of Suicide" and "I Want My Innocence Back."

Excerpt from Kelly's article in this week's IN Magazine.
