Plant your dollars in the Northwest!

KPLU's Buy Local encourages the community to support local businesses and to purchase food produced locally in the Northwest. It features articles on food culture and local farming, as well as recipes, farmers markets and local events. At KPLU we work with a large number of small locally owned businesses as underwriters. We believe that these businesses represent the heartbeat of our communities and neighborhoods. We created Buy Local to encourage you, our listeners, to eat locally grown or produced food, support locally owned businesses and think about where you spend your time.

On these pages you can find a directory of businesses that are both locally owned, and that support KPLU- your favorite radio station, right? You will also be able to access recipes that use local foods, articles from Slow Foods International- Northwest Chapter, and other contributors to be announced.
