We created Buy Local to encourage you, our listeners, to eat locally grown or produced food, support locally owned businesses and think about where you spend your time.
At KPLU we work with a large number of small locally owned businesses as underwriters. We believe that these businesses represent the heartbeat of our communities and neighborhoods. We created Buy Local to encourage you, our listeners, to eat locally grown or produced food, support locally owned businesses and think about where you spend your time.
On these pages you can find a directory of businesses that are both locally owned, and that support KPLU- your favorite radio station, right? You will also be able to access recipes that use local foods, articles from Slow Foods International- Northwest Chapter, and other contributors to be announced. We welcome your feedback anytime- you can reach me at bjames@kplu.org. Thank you for joining us in Buying Local!
