John Muir Lives: A Conversation with Lee Stetson
SEATTLE
(KPLU) -
John Muir was a pioneering naturalist and evocative writer about wilderness, especially in California and the Northwest. The Scottish-born Muir died nearly a hundred years ago, but left his mark in his many writings and the dozens of places named in his honor. For 25 years, actor Lee Stetson has written and performed one-man shows in the persona of John Muir. KPLU environment reporter Liam Moriarty recently spoke with Stetson about the man who perhaps did more than any other to create public awareness of the need to preserve wilderness.
