Unemployment Rate Rising Despite Growth in Jobs
SEATTLE, WA
(KPLU) -
Washington's jobless rate hit 6% in August.
That's up from five point six percent 5.6% in July - and it's the state's highest rate of unemployment in nearly four years.
But the news isn't all bad - the number of jobs in the state is actually still growing.
KPLU business and labor reporter Bellamy Pailthorp explains.
