A Great Day in Harlem Art Kane
SEATTLE, WA (KPLU) - The famous photo "A Great Day in Harlem" was taken in 1958 on the steps of a brownstone, capturing some of the greatest musicians in the history of jazz. Fast forward nearly 50 years to the steps of Seattle City Hall, where a photo of Seattle jazz musicians was taken earlier this year. Prints are about to go on sale. KPLU's Kirsten Kendrick sat down with one of the musicians who made it happen - trumpeter Thomas Marriott.
