Catch Him if You Can: Tom Wopat at Fifth Ave Theater
SEATTLE, WA
(KPLU) -
The new musical "Catch Me if You Can" is another Broadway production, incubated at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theater. It's the latest world-premiere by the team that created "Hairspray" seven years ago.
Based on a true story that Steven Spielberg made into a movie in 2002, it features three strong male leads. One of them is perhaps best known for his tenure as Luke Duke on the 1980s TV hit "The Dukes of Hazzard." KPLU's Bellamy Pailthorp brought Tom Wopat into our studios for this interview.

"Catch Me If You Can" runs at Seattle's Fifth Ave Theater through this Sunday night. The talk of the town is that it may sweep this year's Tony Awards. Whether that happens or not, critics say it's worth seeing. Plans are underway to bring it to Broadway sometime next year.
