Spending on Global Health Spikes Upward
(2009-06-18)
(KPLU) - If it seems like "global health" is getting more attention than it did a decade ago, it's true. Researchers at Seattle's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation have found spending on global health has doubled since 2001. Private donors are giving more, and so is the United States government. Their study is published in The Lancet. KPLU science and health reporter Keith Seinfeld explains:

The study described in this report is titled, "Financing of global health: tracking development assistance for health from 1990 to 2007."
