Randy Newman Q&A
(2007-03-28)
(KPLU) - Singer/songwriter Randy Newman has never shied away from political satire. Back in the sixties, his song, "Political Science," portrayed an arrogant American that planned to drop the big one. More recently, he's been skewering President Bush. But he's also made a name for himself writing film scores, including Toy Story and Monsters, Inc, which won him an Oscar. He'll be at the Paramount Theatre this Friday with Bob Edwards. KPLU's Kirsten Kendrick spoke with him by phone. © Copyright 2012, KPLU
