Jazz Q&A with Nick Francis on "Ray Sings, Basie Swings" SEATTLE, WA (KPLU) - Do you remember when Natalie Cole recorded the duet, "Unforgettable," with her father, Nat King Cole decades after his death? A similar project has resurrected a rare recording from the 1970's of Ray Charles. It pairs him with today's Count Basie Orchestra. Ray Charles and Count Basie never actually recorded together.
