Big Waves Wash Coast
"They (the waves) are coming over the (North) jetty, over the jetty rocks. The waves are coming up pretty close to the dune line."
Grossi says his department has posted officers at popular beach access points to keep people at a safe distance. But he says that shouldn't stop storm-lovers from coming to town.
"The beach can be a dangerous place with this debris that washes up. People are welcome to come down to view it, but there are viewing areas in town where they don't have to be on the beach to watch the waves," Grossi says.
A high-wave warning is in effect for the coast at least through tomorrow (Saturday).

Grossi says it's a dramatic scene."They (the waves) are coming over the (North) jetty, over the jetty rocks. The waves are coming up pretty close to the dune line."
