1959 - After Five Decades, Still the Best Year in Jazz

SEATTLE, WA (KPLU) - If we asked you what jazz albums you have in your collection, there's a good chance you'd say at least one of the following: "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis, "Giant Steps" by John Coltrane or "Time Out" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Or, maybe you have all of them in your collection! Did you know they were all released in the same year? KPLU's Kirsten Kendrick talked with music host Kevin Kniestedt about why he considers 1959 to be the best year ever for jazz.
