(KPLU) - The survival of Washington's Basic Health Plan is in doubt--and the timing couldn't be more ironic. Congress is closer than it's ever been to creating a universal health care system, with insurance subsidies for millions of the uninsured. But, as that debate drags on, Washington state's own budget crisis is cutting-off insurance for thousands of residents. KPLU science and health reporter Keith Seinfeld has the story:
