Poisoned Waters: A Conversation with Hedrick Smith
(2009-04-20)
(KPLU) - It's been 37 years since Congress over-rode President Nixon's veto to pass the Clean Water Act. Correspondent Hedrick Smith with the PBS show Frontline just spent 18 months investigating the health of the nation's water through the lens of two of America's great estuaries: Chesapeake Bay and Puget Sound. His report - "Poisoned Waters" - airs Tuesday evening. KPLU environment reporter Liam Moriarty spoke with Smith about what he found. © Copyright 2012, KPLU
