(KPLU) - The number of unemployed workers in Washington is the highest it's been in decades, and every month more and more people join the club. Now some job seekers are taking that literally. Job clubs are becoming more popular -- not groups sponsored by government agencies or nonprofit organizations, but small, casual get-togethers where people in the same boat help each other with the job search. KPLU's Brian Reed visited a job club that meets every week at Park Way Tavern in Tacoma.

You can learn more about Job Club here.

There are individual clubs in Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue and Olympia.
