Economic Impact of WaMu's Failure

(KPLU) - It's been less than a week since Seattle earned its latest dubious distinction: home to the largest bank failure in U.S. history.
The sudden takeover of Washington Mutual has left thousands of employees on pins and needles. There are also fears about the broader economic impact the takeover and any layoffs it causes might have in communities throughout the Puget Sound region.
